Yn’e Lijte (in the lee) was once a municipal campsite. Jan Jan Brouwer, born and raised in Grou, Friesland, got the chance to take over Waterpark Yn’e Lijte after his skating career. A dream come true, because Jan Jan wanted to focus on water sports and recreation, so the decision was made quickly.
In 2015, Yn’e Lijte was awarded a Green label Award. This is because Waterpark Yn’e Lijte in Grou actively separates waste. With the Alde Feanen National Park in the backyard, Yn’e Lijte wants to do everything possible to be sustainable. The next step now is to introduce solar energy to the site.
The recreation plots are for rent as well as for sale. A transparent apartment right has been set up for the latter. This allows the fixed costs to be kept low in a collective manner and for maximum recreation.
